The Making Action Possible (MAP) Dashboard has done it again!

MAP Dashboard coordinator Jennifer Pullen (center) accepts the 2018 Impact Award from CIC Board Members at the CIC conference awards ceremony in Minneapolis, MN, on September 18, 2018.

The Community Indicators Consortium selected the MAP Dashboard for the 2018 Impact Award. This international recognition goes to the MAP Dashboard for its demonstrated ability to drive positive community change in southern Arizona. It reflects extensive use of the Dashboard by community members, including the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, Pima Association of Governments, the Southern Arizona Leadership Council, Sun Corridor Inc., the University of Arizona, Tucson Electric Power, the Thomas R. Brown Foundation, the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation, Tucson International Airport, Cox Communications, Strongpoint Marketing, the Arizona Daily Star, and many others.

The Community Indicators Consortium is a worldwide organization that advances and supports the development, availability, and effective use of community indicators for making measurable and sustainable improvement in the quality of local communities.

This is the first time the Dashboard has received international recognition. It has been recognized twice nationally. In 2016, the Dashboard received the DataVIZ award from the Association for Public Data Users, for the quality and impact of our visualizations. Also in 2016, the Dashboard won the Award for Website Excellence from the Association for University Business and Economic Research.

The Dashboard has also been recognized locally with the Common Ground award from the Metropolitan Pima Alliance. Further, the Economic and Business Research Center was selected to be one of three finalists for the Arizona Governor’s Celebration of Innovation in Academia for the quality of all of our digital resources.

The MAP Dashboard would like to thank the southern Arizona community and our sponsors for their support. The continued success of this project would not be possible without you. Thank you for being a part of the “Award Winning” MAP Dashboard.
